Music Producer, Bef Mi8 Releases An Inspirationally Motivated New Track, “Yaad” – A Must Listen!
How the Track Was Made?
“I had these recordings of my late grandpa on my phone back from 2007; recorded by my elder brother. I came across one of them in particular when I was trekking one day and had no cell reception. So I ended up checking my phone for songs to listen to, and as soon as I heard it, the old recording of my grandpa saying, “Work hard and your dreams will come true,” it gave me goosebumps. I knew I had to use the recording in a track and get it out to my fans.” –Bef Mi8
“Fast forward two weeks, I composed this melody and I dragged my grandpa’s recording into my session. It became the source of inspiration to develop the melody into a track that has this emotional flow to it. I then played the track for some of my close friends, and they all loved it. So, I ended up collaborating with different people to develop the whole idea of the track to a story and music video, which is now, “Yaad.”
About the Producer
Inspired by different genres of electronic music, Shubham Singh, a.k.a Bef Mi8 started producing electronic music at the age of 14. Post seven years, he has now produced multi-genre tracks under his alias. He has also produced tracks for many artists across the globe; earning him recognition from major artists and international labels like Warner Music, Sony Music, and others.
Bef Mi8’s Rise to International Recognition
In 2014, at the age of 15, Bef Mi8 started his career with a track called “Basant Ritu;” getting him recognition from his personal idol and inspiration, Afrojack, and his label Wall Recordings. In addition, Bef Mi8 was put in-touch with Sony Music, and the following year, he released, “Meluha,” which got him recognized by the world-renowned DJ and producer, KSHMR, and his label Dharma Worldwide. This recognition catapulted Bef Mi8 to producing records for multiple artists & DJs across the globe, and international music labels such as Warner Music and others came calling.
From 2017-19, Bef Mi8 released multiple tracks including “Cushty,” and “Dusk & Falling” in multiple genres under his moniker, getting him featured in India‘s New Music Friday playlist on Spotify and major youtube channels; affording him the limelight and sales from retail merchandise.
“Yaad,” released on May 22, is available on all streaming platforms.
