17-year-old Russian recording artist and TikTok sensation Kostromin has tapped fast-rising Brooklyn drill rapper Fivio Foreign for a remix of his massive chart-topping global streaming hit, “My head is spinning like a screw,” available across all digital streaming platforms now via Legacy Music/The Orchard.
Kostromin’s rise to fame has been nothing short of meteoric. After releasing a snippet of his latest single, “My head is spinning like a screw,” on TikTok with an accompanying special dance routine, the song and trend skyrocketed instantly to massive global success where it climbed to the No. 1 spot on Spotify’s Global and U.S. charts and has gone on to amass nearly 100 million cumulative streams worldwide to date. The track also landed No. 1 in 4 other countries as well and Top 10 in 12 territories upon release and the official video has over 12 million views.
The accompanying TikTok trend, which is a dance with a person (or several) when they agree in opinion about something, has seen an outstanding 3.5 million recreation videos on the platform and ultimately caught the attention of rapper Fivio Foreign who connected with Kostromin for the global spanning remix. Foreign recently made history appearing as a guest feature on Tion Wayne and Russ Millions’ “Body” remix, which just became the first-ever UK drill track to top the UK singles chart.
With only a handful of releases under his belt, teenager Kostromin continues to break boundaries and is the first Russian artist to reach as high as No. 4 on Shazam’s Global Chart.
