“Men of the Strip” Q&A continues…

men of the strip, brad, usl magazine, uslmagazine.com, uslmag.com, usl mag, uslmag

    Q&A with Brad

How was it auditioning for “Men on the strip?”

My audition was fun, and at the same time challenging at first, but once I got the choreography, it was just a good rush I love.

If you could dance for any one person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?

That’s the easiest question and the answer would be the king, MJ. I would love to dance for Rihanna too.

What’s your favorite body part? What’s other people’s favorite body part on you?
My favorite body part would have to be my face. It has gotten me to where I am today, trust me! Lol. I would say others would say the same.

    What’s you’re motivator?
My motivator is my wife, my deceased father, my mother who isn’t doing well in health, and all the people who told me it was not possible, along the way. Most importantly, my God who has brought me more life than I ever could imagine. I cannot let these people down period. I have no choice, but to become successful and fulfill my destiny and purpose in life.

    Q&A with Derek

How was it auditioning for “Men on the strip?”

It was a wild ride! My friend Christos sent me an email about the audition with the subject titled, “Yo D this is YOU! ” I applied immediately and sent as many pictures as needed. After going through several rounds of auditions, I finally made it to the last callback that would be taped and owners Money Mike, 98 degrees star Jeff Timmons, and famous choreographer Glenn Douglas Packard would be present. Getting there at 8 a.m., they made cuts all day to get to the final eight guys around 8 p.m., and we did not get an answer then! Lol. They told us we would be notified latest, Monday by noon. I waited by the phone and computer all day Sunday and Monday. Nothing. Tuesday, I received a call to be on hold but no offer. Late Wednesday night, while I was bartending, I got the call I was casted and have to move to Vegas by that Sunday! Wooo and I’m here.

If you could dance for any one person in the world, dead or alive who would it be?

I haven’t found them yet! I have heroes and family who are dear to me, but to dance for… That is a different story. I cannot wait to dance with, for, and on my future wife.

What’s your favorite body part? What’s other people’s favorite body part of you?

My favorite body part is my heart. Never quit! Other people’s favorites are my Eyes and Thighs!

What celebrity would you like dance for, date, shag?

I don’t think of celebrity’s the same way I use to. I bartend at the “it” place in Hollywood for almost five years and have seen everyone. They are just people too, some unpleasant, others extremely nice. I’ve seen JLo dance and in person she’s that much more amazing. I’d love for her to teach me how to salsa, then I could strip for her. To date, I was laying down groundwork for years. I refilled Amber Heard’s water at every chance possible. Pretty sure she took notice. Thanks for ruining that one Johnny Depp. Would shag The Victoria Secret Angels.

What’s you’re favorite sexual position and why?

Depends on the moment and who I’m doing. The best is when there is a passionate connection, and you can be in any position. I love to try new things, but no man has ever been mad at doggy style.

    What’s you’re motivator?

I strive to push myself to be my best in everything I attempt. I could not live with anything less.

What does your mama say about you shaking your rump on stage?

I’m very blessed. I have the best Mom in the world. She supports me in anything I do, an extremely talented artist, and is a constant inspiration. Her maiden name is Reimer, and we call her Dreamer. It’s tattooed on my ribs, from when we got tattooed together the first time. Ma, I love you.

    What are you passionate about?

I am very passionate about life; enjoying every day with a positive outlook. My family is my rock. I am going to make them, and myself, proud.

men of the strip, chaun, usl magazine, uslmagazine.com, uslmag.com, usl mag, uslmag

     Q&A with Chaun

How was it auditioning for “Men on the strip?”

Auditioning for “Men of the Strip” was an exciting experience. The place was packed full of 80 to 100 hungry guys vying for a spot in the show. Though the excitement was high, I kept my cool, a smile on my face, and did the best I could with choreography. In the end, I was given the opportunity to join the “Men of the Strip” family.

If you could dance for any one person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?

I must say Rihanna would be my choice.

What is your favorite song to dance to; not currently in your song list line-up?

It would be B.o.B.’s song “Throwback”.

What is your preferred style of dance?

My preferred style of dancing is Modern Dance.

Name one interesting fact about you that we would not guess, based on looking at you or your profession?

One that is not so obvious, but interesting, would be the fact that I can be a little shy at times. However, the shyness is easily turned off, once I hit the stage for screaming women.

    Q&A with Charles

How was it auditioning for “Men of the Strip?”

The auditions were so much fun! I felt so comfortable I got to be 100% myself. I truly lived in the present during the entire time. I got to see for the first time what “Money Mike” (the owner) had put together, and I was so excited and proud of what he had accomplished.

What’s your favorite body part? What someone else’s favorite body part on you?

I’d have to say my brain. I’m not saying I’m super intelligent, but I am very analytical. I love the fact that I was born to question everything. I feel that our actions require much thought, as opposed to following the herd.

What celebrity would you like to dance for, date, shag?

Celebrities don’t interest me. I really enjoy the company of my friends. I appreciate people who appreciate me. Nothing is better than spending 24/7 with my true family, my friends. Without them I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thank you to all my friends. You know who you are!

Get it free or pay? Why?

This question is different for me. Lol. I’d say get paid for it… However, I left porn 11/11/11. I lost interest in conquering. My heart is now held by one woman.

    What’s your motivator?

I have two motivators. First, helping my friends accomplish their goals. Second, being able to take care of my o’le lady and give her a life of peace and harmony, we deserve.

The guys of “Men of The Strip” gave us a little preview into who they are behind the muscles, tans and dance routines. Much of the interview asked them the same questions to see how their answers would vary, and vary they did. Some were more inviting, while others seem to be a bit dismissive and stuck on themselves. Overall, they were a bunch of guys,  some more seasoned than others, who really appreciate the opportunity to be a member of the “Men of The Strip”. And they were especially appreciative of the opportunity to work with Jeff Timmons of the hit boy band 98 Degrees and Emmy nominated Choreographer and Creative Director Glenn Douglas Packard.

    Q&A with Chris

How was it auditioning for “Men on the strip?”

Auditioning for men of the strip was a pretty funny experience for me. At the time, I had no professional dance experience or modeling experience, so I felt I was an underdog right away. In the end, it turned out to be pretty cool and easy choreography to get down. Later down the road I found out how technical and crazy Glenn’s choreography got. So the audition for me was more of the experience and the first step into the entertainment business.

We read in an article from the “Las Vegas Review Journal” that you refuse to use the term stripper or use a G-string. Why is that?

I refuse to call myself a stripper, because if I wanted to put on a G-string and make $400 a night stripping in Vegas, I would do it. However, at the end of the day, I’m in this project and came over to this business because “Men of The Strip” is letting me build my brand and the business opportunities with this show and production are endless.

I refuse to wear a G-string, because when I’m on stage I have to be able to feel myself and get in the zone. I cannot do that wearing a G-string and being uncomfortable. To me that’s just a very big leap that I just can’t do. Going from a men’s football locker room to dancing on stage as an entertainer is a big leap I did… However, put a G-string on me, and you won’t see “poster boy Chris” anymore. You would meet a shy ass dude who is just straight uncomfortable with a string up my ass. The other guys are comfortable with it and have been in this business awhile. I have not, so I’m just taking it step by step. I doubt the day will ever come that I will wear one.

What’s your most memorable moment on stage?

My most memorable moment on stage is hands down the big Jump off the stage I did in NYC at Grammacy theater. The stage was very high, and the guard rail was a good distance back from the stage, with a packed house, cameras and girls. Everyone walked down the stage or went around the back to go into the crowd, and I moved everyone with my hand and just leaped hella high, landing perfectly in the crowd and started solo’n. It was a great feeling for me at the time.

    Q&A with Keith

As the Lead Singer and performer of “Men of the Strip”, what did you do to really stand out at the auditions?

Well, going to the auditions, I found out they were not necessarily looking for the greatest bodies and the greatest dancers. They were looking more for interesting people with awesome personalities (lucky me). So to stand out, I told them the three most interesting things about myself: I sing; I grew up in a strict religious home, and I love big large curvy women. Once I told them that, they were all ears!
If you could dance for any one person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?

I really enjoy dancing in front of Glenn, my choreographer. I’m not the best dancer in the group, but I strive to be, even if I never will. Becoming a better dancer is a good goal for me to have, because Glenn is not an easy critic and being someone who choreographed Michael Jackson, I would not be either.

How did you get the stage name Mama’s Boy?

Good question! Well, I guess I got the name because I’m happy all the time, I’m always smiling and I just have a positive child like attitude towards life in general. I guess that comes across as a sheltered mama’s boy. But I do love my moms very much, and she’s also my biggest fan. Love you mom!

If you were not in “Men of The Strip”, what would you be doing?

I’d be in the daily grind auditioning, in NYC, shooting on Broadway or some other entertainment job where I can use my abilities.

You’re from the East Coast, what made you want to move to Las Vegas?

The main reason I moved to Vegas was “Men Of the Strip!” Don’t get me wrong, I will always be a Philly-cheese steak eating, Rocky loving, Eagles praising Philadelphian, from the east coast. However, I packed all my stuff and headed to Vegas knowing “Men of The Strip” will continue to grow and be successful. I’m a part of a revolutionary brand and a great team that turned out to be my family. I would not want to be anywhere else. Boom!

men of the strip, kyle, usl magazine, uslmagazine.com, uslmag.com, usl mag, uslmag

    Q&A with Kyle

How was it auditioning for “Men on the strip?”

Auditioning for “Men of the Strip” was not an easy task. Hundreds of men from around the country were picked to be in these auditions, so I knew it would be a tough challenge. However, I had my best friend Nate Estimada with me. I did my best, and ended up having a really good time!

If you could dance for any one person in the world, dead or alive who would it be?

As much as I love dancing for Glenn Packard, lol, I really enjoy dancing for my girlfriend, Erika Schwegler… It’s sexual dancing with her, and we always end up taking it too far.

We read that you like cooking. What’s your best recipe?

My best recipe, both in health and taste, is the Greek omelet. For myself, I use five whole eggs and five egg whites mixed with a little bit of salt-free garlic powder. Then, while that is cooking, I add feta cheese (really crumbled), onions, spinach, diced tomatoes, diced cucumber, and continue to cook until flipping is required. Flipping omelettes get real tricky. It requires very firm but finesse hands.

What celebrity would you like dance for, date, shag?

I actually don’t have any fantasies of any celebrity right now. My girlfriend, Erika Schwegler, is more than enough for me!

What celebrity would you choose to share the stage with you in “Men of the Strip?”

I actually don’t have any fantasies of any celebrity right now. My girlfriend, Erika Schwegler, is more than enough for me!

What celebrity would you choose to share the stage with you in “Men of the Strip?”

Every guy in our cast is an amazing dancer, performer, singer, and star! Not to mention we share the stage with Jeff Timmons, How awesome is that?

Do you compare what you do to the dancers in “Magic Mike?”

We do what we do baby! 🙂 I think I understand this question… “Magic Mike” is awesome for our industry, and Channing Tatum is an amazing dancer, but what we are doing with “Men of the Strip” is on a bigger scale than what anyone has ever seen.

men of the strip, nate, usl magazine, uslmagazine.com, uslmag.com, usl mag, uslmag

    Q&A with Nate

How was it auditioning for “Men on the strip?”

Auditioning for Men of the Strip was serious business. I took it as a challenge, testing my athleticism and skills as a performer. However, I was not nervous. I knew it was a step in the right direction.

Is this your first time as an adult entertainer?

No, I have been an adult entertainer for the past four years of my life. I used to wear a bow tie and cufflinks to work, mostly touring around Europe, North and Central America. It was a great experience, but nothing like what I’ve accomplished so far with “Men of the Strip.”

Would you ever move to the East Coast, and if so, which city would you move to?

I would move to the East Coast. I just don’t know how long I would stay, but I hear Florida is nice.

If you could dance for any one person in the world, dead or alive who would it be?

If I could dance for any one person, it would be Bruce Lee. He was a champion ballroom dancer and master of his own kinetic energy. Dancing and the martial arts are similar physiologically, both requiring control of free range movement. I aspire to push the limits of my natural body to perform a ‘Men of the Strip’ routine Bruce Lee could appreciate. It would be an honor.

    What are your other aspirations?

I aspire to be a crazy old man with a lot of great stories to tell his loved ones.

Q &A with Actor and Producer Errol Sadler of Supremacy Films.

“There is a stigma in Hollywood that our content is not marketable internationally; therefore, we lose integrity in our stories to make it more acceptable by the masses.”
Is there a film right now you wish you were a part of its production?

“Gravity”. Its shots were from a different perspective. Usually stories that take place in space is usually in a shuttle, for the most part. This story took place in outer space. The cinematography was great; the actors were great, overall it was a great product.

What’s your sentiment on slavery films? Are slavery films the only legacy of African Americans, in your opinion?

I think slavery films are a great way to keep our younger generation abreast of our history, but I feel we as African-America filmmakers need to dig deeper. For as far you can travel back in history for other races; African-American’s can go back just as far. Which means we were not always slaves, we were kings, queens, emperors, rulers, conquerors; let’s see more of those stories starring us.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of films made throughout the 20th and 21st centuries that depict other races as the savior of mankind… Many of them are epic fantasies, world saving films… Why do you think there haven’t been such films depicting African Americans in leading roles such as in “Gladiator,” “Clash of The Titans,” “Superman,” “I, Frankenstein,” “Star Trek,” Star Wars,” “The Time Machine,” or even “Cleopatra” and “Son of God?”

There is a stigma in Hollywood that our content is not marketable internationally; therefore, we lose integrity in our stories to make it more acceptable by the masses. That’s why I am such a supporter of Will Packer and Rob Hardy. They are able to tell stories that strengthen our culture, and it’s marketable at the same time.

The film “Eros” was a huge success. After reading the script, how did you know this movie could break through in popularity?

When we decided to write “Eros,” I was determined to win. Nothing and no one could tell me differently. I did not know much about budgets; all I knew was what I was going to shoot, and how it was going to look. The rest was up to the product.
“Try to master all the jobs that affect your job.”
What genre of movies do you think is the hardest to produce?

I would not necessarily say hard but risky. Fantasy – It’s heavy with CGI, which makes for a bigger budget, which makes for an even bigger return needed in the box office to break even.

What celebrity would you like to work with in the future and why?

Will Smith. This man is a machine, and one of the hardest workers in the business. I have heard how hard I work, and I would love to meet someone that I think work as hard as I do.

As an actor what producer would you like to work with?

There are many great producers. If I had to choose, I would say Jerry Bruckheimer.

What producer inspires you the most and why? What drives your creativity?

Will Packer, because his story is real. I feel he laid the foundation for me since he started as an indie producer and has taken it mainstream.
“Know your stuff. Try to master all the jobs that affect your job.”

How do you know a script is worthy of your attention?

Scripts usually pass through our director or development. Once it gets to my desk I will check it out. The first 10 pages are crucial because that’s the attention getter. If I feel the script can grab an audience attention, then I will give it the time of day.

What’s one advice you would give to someone following in your footsteps?

Know your stuff. Try to master all the jobs that affect your job. If you cannot master them, learn them all and understand how they affect you. This means taking writing classes so you will know a good script and a good pattern when you see one. Take acting classes, take producing classes, know numbers and understand directing. The more knowledge, the stronger your decision making process.

Any shout-outs you care to give?

I want to send love to my wife, my team, “Team Supremacy,” all supporters, and to everyone out there chasing a dream. “Your Dream is Valid…”

Q &A with Emmy Nominated Choreographer and Creative Director Glen Douglas Packard Of the Las Vegas male revue “Men of The Strip”.

Criteria for being a part of “Men of The Strip: “Talent. Charm. Body. Individuality.”
You’re well known in the business, having worked with some of the biggest stars. Who was the hardest person to work with and why?

I would have to say the artist that are on some kind of substance (drugs or alcohol), cuz you never know what you’re going to get on a day to day basis. When you’re trying to get a job done, it can make the creative aspect very difficult. So by seeing the list of names I have worked with, you can just take a guess on who those individuals are. I will save the names for my book one day. Wink!

You have worked on urban choreography, as well as Latin choreography, which dance do you find the hardest?

I’m a choreographer/creative director, so I’m one of those types of individuals I believe in doing research. A choreographer should have no limits to movement. As a young dancer, I took hip-hop dance, ballet, tap and African dance. I learned all styles so that I could pull it out of my library of movements. I did not want to limit myself. I recently did a Bollywood film, so I spent two months eating and breathing the Bollywood world, before showing up on set in Poland.
Criteria for being a part of “Men of The Strip: “Give me something unique and special! “
Why did you want to be a part of “Men of the Strip”?

First, I felt there was a need for something new in the world of Male Revue, after the popularity of the movie “Magic Mike”. I knew now was the time to strike cuz it was part of pop culture in entertainment. Second, I saw an opportunity to have something I could put my name on that I would hold my head up high and say “I created something from the ground up, so maybe when I’m long gone from this world, my family will be all right.”

You are not new to reality TV, coming from “Brooke Knows Best” on VH-1, but why do you believe “Men of the Strip” is your calling?

Thanks for this question. Many people wondered why I would go from working with fabulous artists and award shows and move to work with a male revue. I have to say, “some choreographers are better at doing hip-hop or doing musical theatre, but I have the patience and ability to train these types of performers. I get great pleasure out of it! Don’t get me wrong, yes, I’m a single gay guy, but I never cross that line. I want these guys to never feel uncomfortable with me, I want them to be the very best performers they can be, not to mention best men they can be. Although this show is about a lot of semi-naked men, these guys get to learn a lot about themselves and learn some life lessons along the way. If I’m going to be in a rehearsal room with these guys for hours after hours, I’m not just going to dance with them. I’m going to talk with them, get to know their dreams and maybe become that dream maker for them.
Criteria for being a part of “Men of The Strip: “You got to love the ladies. “
Do you think creating dance routines with men who are almost naked, allows you to tap more into your creative juices? If so, how or why?

The question for a gay man with men that barely have on clothes and creative juices could give some people the wrong idea. LOL I enjoy the challenge and these guys have the drive to make whatever I throw at them happen… It’s the super team of male revue…just wait and see.

How did you link up with Jeff Timmons? Did you ever do any choreography for him or the group 98 Degrees?

I ran into Jeff a few times over our careers… The group 98 Degrees, performed for the Michael Jackson “30th Anniversary Special,” and “Miracle on 34th Street”, when I was the creative director and choreographer. Both shows were at Madison Square Garden… However, where I got to know Jeff was on another reality show call “Mission Man Band” on Vh-1. Jeff will tell you ….. he does not dance.

What artist or talent will you love to work with as a choreographer, if you have not already?

I have always wanted to move into “the new country music industry” with my choreography & creative direction. I just like the home town feel of the artist! I’m a country boy at heart, being raised on one of the largest dairy farms in the mid-west; not to mention, I hear Dolly bakes a mean cookie!

Based on the talent you have worked with in the past, who could you see on “Men of the Strip” and why?

Ohhhh, I like this one…. Ok… Its a Latin artist… he has a huge Latin following… If you do not know him, just look him up… He is shirtless of course and man he is a charmer with the ladies; Chino of Chino Y Nacho… His full name is Jesús Alberto Miranda Perez. Yeah, I know it…What? Lol.

What was the craziest feedback you received about the male revue?

That the guys, need to go full frontal…. Do you really want dong flopping around during the dance moves? Really?
