Friday, June 27 at SubCulture, NY: Toshi Reagon and BigLovely

What is there to say about Toshi Reagon that hasn’t already been said? The only thing bigger than Toshi’s heart is her voice, and she has a deep honest connection to the entire spectrum of the genre we call Americana that is moving and inspiring. This is something instilled in her by her parents, two of the founding members of the Freedom Singers and her godfather Pete Seeger (whose wife is her namesake). Toshi has long ago stepped out of their shadows and created her own legacy when she first dropped out of college to pursue music completely and landed an opening slot on Lenny Kravitz’s debut tour. Since that auspicious debut she has been making profound connections with audiences great and small all over the world over. This superstar plays to festival and arena sized audiences, so catch her in this special intimate audience at SubCulture on Friday, June 27th at 10pm.

Tix $20 in advance, $25 day of performance
