In Their Own Words: In Their Own Words: Timothy Burke, and I began working together twelve years ago. At this time, the music industry’s stage was very different. To accomplish and survive we had to work in multiple arenas to remain an industry asset.

In the early days, we would connect at listening events, and at radio stations.Burke would be helping with introductions between colleagues, and I was in the midst of closing the deals. This collaboration became the catalyst for wanting to create a reliable foundation and a solid representation of talent.

When we first ventured into the business we were young, but we devoured what we were exposed to. We learned from both success and failure. We were attuned to our audience and cultivated our network relationships. Through the lattice we built with major labels such as Arista, Universal, Interscope, and Sony BMG; we garnered our work ethics in integrity and applied grit to our enthusiasm. Becoming seasoned in the industry-led us to a concrete vision of what we were passionate about. We used our knowledge and experiences to charter new frontiers. Our ultimate focus was the road to success for Make it Happen.

“Make It Happen has grown to encompass a multitude of services from artist management, production, songwriting, and consultation. In essence, we created our own niche market in placing and representing our team of talent. We are lucky to work with household names, rands, and step into the sphere of the industry’s prominent emerging talent. Currently, we are in the studio with, Ice Cube, 50 Cent, and are broadening our global scope.”

“Make It Happen has many accomplishments under its belt, including singles featured within Billboard’s top 100, and on BET’s 106 & Park. We have been honored and humbled to work with Grammy Award winner Magnedo7. Magenedo7 was the producer on Eminem’s multi-platinum (5 times) album “Recovery” and recently has been featured within a plethora of high grossing records. We participated in the production of Lil Wayne and Bird Man’s track “Fire Flame Spitta,” which received heavy rotation and airplay throughout Urban Radio. Together these combined successes are what catapulted our company and those that are a part of our team.”

During our next phase of development, we anticipate further growth in our business’ creative side, and one of the many attributes we are emphasizing among our team of talent is, “Inspiration.”

We are humbled with how to Make It Happen has evolved and matured. Even after all this time, and attending the school of “Hard Knocks” we still gasp at the reality of our dream being alive. Now we can give back to others. We are able to add to the fabric, and the culture around us while establishing our dream’s longevity.

As we set our sights on the future, Make It Happen has been steadily moving towards expanding its work into the film and television industries. We have established our publishing arm of the company, We Got Hits, and are actively constructing our network. Just as in our inception, the core of Make It Happen is the talent we create with. Together we build, enrich, and develop our organization. Our roots are set in working collectively, and our team encourages us to “Make It Happen.”

After a huge decade of success, culminating in Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s return to the top of the DJ Mag Top 100 pollLike Mike expands his reach in the music industry with the announcement of his new label Green RoomMike had an impressive number of self-released solo singles last year, such as ‘Best Friend’, ‘Lies’, and most recently ‘Sinner.’ Currently working on his first solo album, Mike launches Green Room and streamlines his output in the process. 

The first release on the label comes in the form of ‘High off Love’, a Like Mike track featuring Angemi. With a release date of February 14th, the track gives fans an insight into what they can expect to hear from Like Mike throughout the coming year. Never happy to rest on his laurels and always looking for new ways to channel his innate creativity and ambitionMike releases music that crosses multiple genres and generations.
